The missions of the CFSM are:

1. The members of the CFSM work towards building good Christian families because we believe the family is the basic building block of a good society, a good nation.
2. We assist all family members to live and fulfil their various roles in the family, work place, community, and nation, for the family is the Church in miniature, and the apostles of the families are the families themselves.

The aims of the CFSM are:

1. To promote among adult people a lay apostolate as defined by the teachings of the Catholic Church.
2. To promote among Catholics a consciousness of their role & responsibilities in society whereby they strive to perform their domestic, social and professional duties in a Christian spirit.
3. To work and co-operate with all men in the promotion of whatever is true, just and charitable for the common good in justice, peace and respect for human dignity, irrespective of race, creed or culture.

When members gather together they help one another to see their lives clearer, to understand their faith better and to have the resolve to live their faith. The members of the movement help one another to be better Christians at home, work, at school.

The movement does not organise its members to take action under the banner of CFSM. The members themselves will see what to do and will co-operate with men of goodwill in the promotion of whatever is true, just and charitable for the good of every child and every person.

The members of the movement up-hold the institution of the Family and work to promote the roles of the Christian Family in the Church and in society. They believe that the Family is essential for the well-being of humankind. Members get together to share and learn from one another their experiences, in their various roles as spouse, as parent, as worker, as a Christian.

Organisation

We are an officially recognised movement in the Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore, and we are a registered society with the Registrar of Societies.

We seek our membership from among adult citizens, who believe in the importance of the Family to themselves, as well as to the Nation.

We organise talks and seminars, and we make available reading materials for our members. We help Families find themselves, and understand their roles, for a loving, happy, Christian Family life.

The movement is financed from membership subscriptions, grants from the Church, sales of publications, contributions from well-wishers, etc. The annual membership subscription is currently S$20 per couple / member.

The Executive Committee, elected annually at the A.G.M. sees to the running of the movement.
